Mad Soldier's "Blind Game Again"-A Good Poem or Just Another Unknown Anime Song

"Blind Game Again" lyrics by, Yuriko Mori and performed by Mad Soldiers may seem like another unknown anime song, but it could pass as a good poem. This song is from the well know anime"Gravitation". It's manga was published by Tokyopop and the anime by "therightstuf" company. This song can pass as a good poem because of it's imagery, personification, and sound.
Now the Mad Soldiers song "Blind Game Again" has a good use of imagery. For example when Yuriko Mori writes "shatter the eternally unchanging nights." With this line the most would picture a starry night (or a picture of) being shattered like glass. Thus if it would be an example of imagery. Another place Yuriko Mori used imagery was the line " Amid the rustling, the light around me." Now this line can be an example of both imagery and sound are used. Sound is used when the "rustling wind" is brought up. You can hear wind and rustling so it is sound. Imagery was used when "light around me" is said. Now this would be an example of imagery because when one would hear this line they would picture themselves (or someone else) surrounded by light.
Even among all of these great traits that come with his songs he also provides a different perspective. His song says things like " light around me slips through my memory", now to most this would make absolutely no sense but I will explain what this means. When Yuriko writes "the light around me slips through my memory" he means that any memory except those of his lover he will forget. Now another way Yuriko may open ones eyes would be be when he says " These flowing tears have stained me with rampant lies and let my dreams escape" with this line he means that he has cried so much that the tear are almost there permanently and that the tears (his sadness caused by lies) has become so bad that it has crushed his dreams. This would be only a few examples of how he would create a new perspective.
Now most would think that a Japanese song would only rhyme in Japanese but this is not true. Probably without even knowing it Yuriko Mori rhymed a few lines of his songs in English as well as Japanese. The first example of this would be when he writes " It's yet unseen conclusion is an illusion " "conclusion" and "illusion" rhyme so there is my point. Another time he rhymed was in the performance of the song itself. Performed by the Mad Soldiers "Blind Game Again" was a Japanese song that rhymed( of course ) in Japanese. Now because this song is of original Japanese origin it is only natural that it would rhyme in Japanese.
Because of the sound, rhyme (in both ways) ,imagery, and personification of this song it has all the characteristics of a good poem (Whether it be the lyrics in Japanese or English). This song is a well known favorite to anime fans- and if given the chance it can be enjoyed by others as well.
